Those work perfectly but it is a little tricky getting the right size. A friend of mine has some he got from Lowes and they are perfect. I tried and they didn't quite fit my bikes. At some point I will order the right size but it may take some trial and error. Also, as I recall I had to order ten.

Make one out of cardboard or similar material, then measure it to find a rough dimension. Good luck.

If you can't find stainless ones elsewhere look at Harbor Freight (we have a store in town but they also sell on-line I think). I bought mine there. Fit good flat-stop tubes and liners and with luck you'll not need to cut them I still have some of the SS ties left over (bought a pack of 25, also used them to attach the controller to the rack). PM me and I'll mail you a couple if you still need them. Kevin.

I could not find any metal zip ties and did not want to use plastic, so I wrapped the fork tube in black electrical tape and used about 2 feet of black 14Ga copper wire to thread the holes in the torque arm and around the fork tube. I tied it off, then wrapped it with more tape. Since my fork tubes are black, you can't even see it. So far it is holding up perfectly. It would take a gorilla to break it. I think this is a simple fix and probably stronger than a couple of stainless zip ties and easier to get off and you can't beat the price.

Well, I am still an advocate for using the stainless steel hose clamps b/c it is so easy to remove if you have to change a tire. Copper wire may hold together but is impractical to remove and reuse. I have changed a tire on the motorized wheel and I am still using the same hose clamps as before. It only takes a few seconds to remove a hose clamp. I don't think they are too "unsightly", but I have a chrome fork anyway. Plus, another advantage to the hose clamps is that they come with a tightening mechanism attached, as opposed to having to select the right fasteners(nuts, bolts, washers, lock-washers)
Kevininchico- Did you bend the torque arm to make it fit underneath the fork like that? I seem to remember the plane of the torque arm being to the side of the fork, not underneath. It may be an illusion of the camera, but if I hold a straight-edge of paper on my screen, your torque arm looks bent.

Yes, it is curved about 5-10 degrees to lie straight in line behind the fork, so if it were to try to rotate forward the edge would hit flat onto the fork, not try to slide past it. Kevin.

It wouldn't matter, because the torque that the arm is there to counteract would pull the arm AWAY from the fork, not towards it, hence the need for good zip ties or hose clamps... kevininchico wrote: Jamboysback wrote: Kevininchico- Did you bend the torque arm to make it fit underneath the fork like that?
